Course Objective
The education course will focus on understanding the challenges associated with persisting biofilm-related bone and joint infections in daily practise. Attendees will obtain new insights in the pathogenesis of these infections from basic researchers, as well as new clinical knowledge on how to best prevent, diagnose, and treat these infections. Lectures will focus on surgical interventions, as well as local and systemic antibiotic therapy, and other innovative treatment modalities in bone and joint infections with focus on periprosthetic joint infections. After each session, ample time for discussion will be allotted and each topic will be closed with a quiz.
Target Audience
